AI won't replace creatives. But it might replace the lazy ones.

AI is a blunt tool, and as more people blend into the same filter, the ones who stay authentic and human stand out.

In short

  • AI is an incredible tool, but used without care it's making brands look and sound the same.
  • As feeds fill up with the same visuals and tone, work that's authentic and human stands out more.
  • The trick is learning to control it, so it amplifies your ideas and your brand still sounds like you.

The Ailephant in the Room

There's a strong argument that AI is eroding the value of creative services. These days anyone with a few subscriptions and an internet connection can churn out what looks like world-class content, right? Not exactly.

AI is an incredible technological leap, and when used well, it can be a serious advantage. But it's also a blunt tool. What started as an exciting creative edge for many agencies and founders is now quickly becoming a double-edged sword. Everywhere you look, feeds are filled with the same visuals, recycled buzzwords, and oddly familiar tone. What once looked like progress now feels like everyone's speaking through the same filter.

Everyone's speaking through the same filter. One of these wasn't.

Tap the one that feels human.

Even established brands that spent years developing distinct voices are starting to sound like they came from the same prompt. What I once thought might destroy our industry is actually turning into our quietest salesman. As more people blend into the noise, those who stay authentic and human stand out effortlessly.

When everyone speaks through the same filter, everything comes out the same.

I'm not anti-AI. Far from it. I use it every day across concepting, writing, design, and production. It's powerful, efficient, and when guided properly, it's an incredible creative tool. But that's exactly the point. It's a tool, not a replacement. AI follows trends and patterns. It predicts. It doesn't imagine. It can replicate tone, but it doesn't feel. As Alan Watts once said, "The menu is not the meal."

Have a go

The menu is not the meal.

Alan Watts said it first. Flip the card.

If you're not careful, you can lose the very thing that made your brand unique in the first place. So it's worth asking yourself: are we still authentic? Are we creating from a place of truth or just chasing the algorithm? Is what we're putting out there actually us, or just what we think the world wants to see?

You can still spot the difference between real creative work and something that's been generated to fill a gap. It's in the detail, the warmth, and the intention. The human touch still shines through. But the gap is closing fast. Will it soon become impossible to tell what's real from what's generated? Honestly, that's anyone's guess, but one thing for sure is that the brands and creatives that survive that shift will be the ones that know exactly who they are and what they bring to the table.

Used well, AI makes your own idea louder.

The trick isn't avoiding AI. It's learning to control it. Let it amplify your ideas, not replace them. Let it enhance your workflow, not define it. Because in a world full of generic, shiny sameness, authenticity will always feel fresh.

In a world full of generic, shiny sameness, authenticity will always feel fresh.

I blend strategy, storytelling, and technology to help brands stay original and alive. Whether it's through creative driven content, brand systems, 3D, UI/UX, Development, motion or AI, everything I make begins with intent and ends with meaning.

If your brand is starting to sound like everyone else, maybe it's time we talk.
